Saw this idea in an old BH&G magazine.... Used my Cuttlebug to cut out the
butterflies... Added some heart stickers... Turned plain ole' pink lemonaid into a fancy drink for my Brownie troop last
night!

Friend.

Do you ever read SARK?  I just love her books.  I just finished Fabulous Friendship Festival.   I love this bit where she talks about “compound energy” between friends.  Basically she talks about the phenomenon between friends where say friend A has this really great idea or positive experience and shares it with friend B it actually creates good energy for friend B too.  Who shares it with someone and it spreads and grows and causes all these ripples of positive energy…    Here’s what SARK said: “I might say, “I’m walking three miles a day and eating lots of broccoli.” And later my friend says that she felt very inspired to resume swimming and get some organic produce after we spoke.  This energy between friends travels far, as we each share what we’re experiencing and learning, and then it gets magnified and multiplied as it’s shared with other friends.”   I love that.  I’ve found it to be true in my life.  Sometimes I’m the recipient like this week I found out that a dear friend is taking piano lessons-something she’s wanted to do since she was a child.  It got me thinking…  Not about piano lessons exactly, just childhood dreams in general, both big and small.  I can’t say I have acted on it but I’ve definitely been thinking about it.  Sometimes I find out years later that I’ve started a ripple and didn’t even know it… That’s always fun!

List.

Four Things from LL:

A) Four places that I go to over and over:  Flickr, NA Library, School, Crazy
B) Four people who e-mail me (regularly):  Mom,  the Library, Dona, Michelle R.

C)  Four favorite smells:  Coffee, fresh air in the house after it’s been closed up a while, flowers like peonies or lilacs or lily-of-the-valley, something savory and garlicky coming from the kitchen

D)  Other places I could be right now:  in bed-yeah that would be good,  in a lovely hotel just about anywhere warm, in my studio making art-that sounds like heaven right now, back at the G’s house having a really fun night…

E) Four people I think will respond: bah!
F) Four TV shows I watch: I Carly-and I will happily admit it-I really like it…,  The Unit, NCIS, House, Bones  oh, that’s five…

This photo has nothing to do with 4 things… It just makes me happy and is all hearty for Valentines Day!

Snow Day.

So today is the 2nd snow day of the week and we’ve got another snow day tomorrow!

Here’s what we’ve been working on.  O.K.  Mostly me.  With a little help from E.  And zero help from S.

The 1st set are for E's Cheerleading Squad-they have a game ON Valentine's day.  Made with my Cuttlebug and the "Go Team" die set.

The 2nd set are from E to her Brownie Troop.  Based on this idea.

The 3rd set are from ME to my Brownie Troop.  Sticky-note packs found in the Dollar Spot at good ole' Target...

List.

 Five for a Snow Day!

1)      An extra long PJ morning.

2)      Getting a jump on our valentine making.

3)     Snow playing followed by cookies & cocoa.

4)       Homemade chicken noodle soup.

5)      Cozy evening at home (vs. running kids too and fro for evening activities).

Only bad thing is-we haven’t had a full week of school since mid December….

Luckily I love hanging out with my kids-I was almost sad when school started after Christmas break.  Almost.

What do you do on those unexpected days home from school?
